PennData

PennData is the project responsible for managing Special Education data for the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE). More information can be found on the PennData website and PDE's Special Education website. 

The two major reporting periods for PennData are in December and June. 

At the Intermediate Unit (IU), we are required to update and submit 14 PennData tables to PDE as part of the Special Education collections.

These tables are defined as follows: 

  • Tables 1–3: Based on data collected around the December collection date. 

  • Tables 4–14: Based on student data collected from July 1 to June 30.
