Adult Education

The Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit Adult Education Program provides a variety of adult education opportunities, including basic reading, writing and math skills; GED® Exam preparation, and English as a Second Language (ESL). Our three county region consists of several urban areas - the cities of Erie, Franklin, Oil City, Warren - and a number of smaller communities such as Albion, Corry, Girard, Lawrence Park, Union City, Fairview and North East.

Volunteer Opportunities

Only three hours a week can change someone’s life!

Volunteers are needed to provide tutoring for adult learners in Erie, Venango, and Warren Counties. Tutor teachers will provide one-to-one or small group instruction for adult learners. Tutor aides work alongside regular classroom instructors. Training is FREE, materials are FREE, and the hours are tailored to fit your schedule. For more information, click here.
