 IU5 Policies and Procedures

Registration Guidelines

·         Registration will only be accepted online.

·         No walk-ins will be accepted.

Cancellation Policy
Insufficient or Over enrollment
100% refund
5 working days or more before offering day
Refund minus $15 per credit / $10 per program
The day of class to 4 working days before offering day
0% refund
Insufficient Check Refund Policy

A money order or certified check plus a $20 IU processing fee must be forwarded immediately upon our notification to participant of a check returned for nonsufficient funds to retain registration and to receive Act 48 hours.

Weather Cancellation Policy

Cancellations will be announced on the IU Night Mailbox, at 814-734-5610, extension #7777.  For evening classes, a decision will be made by 3:00 p.m.  You may also call the IU between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m., at 814-734-5610, to check on the status of a program.  For weekend classes, the decision to cancel will be made not later than ninety minutes before the course is to begin.  A program held at a site other than the IU will automatically be cancelled if the host school district has cancelled school due to inclement weather.

Attendance/Participation Policy

·         We expect all participants to comply with our policy of 100% attendance for Act 48 hours.  Partial hours are not permitted.  We will consider absences for emergencies only.

·         Participants should be aware that the instructor has the right to dismiss disruptive/non-participatory students.  Such action will result in loss of hours and payment.
