The Parent Support Center

 Overview

 

The Parent Support Center offers support to parents of children with special needs.  The Parent Support Center is:
*Staffed by Michele Kulesza, a parent consultant, who has many years experience in special education and is a parent of a child with special needs.
 
*Offers information on the Procedural Safeguards afforded to parents of children in special education.
 
*Publishes the "Parent Perspective" newsletter and distributes to the Erie, Crawford and Warren County school districts.
 
*Maintains a library of information pertaining to disabilities, special education, and local and state support groups.
 
*Maintains current information on local and statewide parent training opportunities.
 
*Is a member of the Local Right to Education Task Force of Erie, Crawford and Warren County.
 
*Serves as a liaison between parents and school personnel at special education meetings, IEP's and other school meetings.
